Great Backyard Bird Count Sat., Feb. 18, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
TWC Bird Club invites you to join us for the 15th ANNUAL GREAT BACKYARD BIRD COUNT! We need your help! Anyone can participate, from beginning bird watchers to experts. It takes as little as 15 minutes on count day. It’s free, fun, and easy—and it helps the birds. Scientists and bird enthusiasts can learn a lot by knowing where the birds are. Bird populations are dynamic; they are constantly in flux. No single scientist or team of scientists could hope to document the complex distribution and movements of so many species in such a short time. We will meet in the Wildlife Observation Room at 9 a.m. to begin counting species as they come and go at the feeder stations. You can join us any time of the day (up until 3 p.m.) and stay and count as long as you like, 15 min. - an hour - 1/2 day - or, if you're "hardcore," all day!!! Free.
