Mid-Winter Risotto with Rick Davis
In the middle of Winter folks start getting their first spouts of cabin fever. When one just needs to get out, why not learn how to make something new? Risotto, while most people think of it as a specific dish, is actually a cooking method. In fact, it's one of the most popular ways to cook rice in Italy. A seemingly difficult dish to prepare that typically includes Arborio Rice, some form of Cheese, and Wine, many people don't even attempt this delicate dish. Rick Davis, co-owner of TKS, product connoisseur and all around foodie is the perfect person to not only teach you how to make Risotto, but also to teach you various ways to enjoy the versatile dish. Enjoying Risotto for any course from Breakfast to Dessert is possible, and not as difficult as one would think!
This class is being held on Monday, February 20 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the TKS Demonstration Kitchen. This class is a demonstration style class where you will explore three completely different Risotto dishes and also sample them. The price of the class is $26 plus tax per person and the menu being planned is:
-
Ham and Eggs Breakfast Risotto
-
Seafood Risotto with Shrimp and Scallops
