Sauces: Espagnole & Tomato with Chef Sherry Schie
In this follow-up class to our 1st "Mother" Sauces Class, Chef Sherry will explore Espagnole and Sauce Tomato. Espagnole Sauce is one of the base sauces in classic French Cooking. It has a strong taste and although rarely used directly on food, it serves as the starting point for many other sauces such as Sauce Bourguignon, Sauce Chasseur, and Demi-Glace among hundreds of others. Sauce Tomato is exactly what it sounds like, Tomato Sauce and also one of the 5 "Mother" Sauces that Chef Sherry will be covering.
Chef Sherry spent her summer working in the kitchen of the
Wooster Inn learning everything she already didn't know about food preparation and handling. Now that Sherry has had her "real life" experience, she is able to continue passing on her knowledge to you via the TKS Demonstration Kitchen. Sherry is a wonderful, experienced TKS instructor and chef with a delightful personality and a passion for food. Whether this is your first TKS class, or you're a returning student, this is surely a class you won't want to miss!

Thursday, March 8 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the TKS Demonstration Kitchen. This class is a
demonstration style class where you will explore six sauces in total and taste them on prepared foods such as meats and pastas. The price of the class is
$22 plus tax per person and the menu being planned is:
