This is an acoustic music jam session: bluegrass, folk and old time music; fiddles, mandolins, banjos, dobros, guitars, and basses welcome. No amplified instruments, or PAs.
In the folk revival of the 1950s and '60s, Washington Square Park in NYC was a central venue. Bluegrass and folk musicians formed duos and groups to jam, enjoy each other's playing, and entertain listeners. In that spirit, let's see if we can create a "Washington Square West" to play acoustic music in the Downtown Wooster Square, at the intersection of Liberty and Market Streets, beginning this Sunday, September 24 between 2:00 and 5:00 PM and continuing on Sundays into October, weather permitting. Bring your own seating, if necessary.
