Alternative Gift Market

Join us at the Alternative Gift Market, where you can browse a variety of displays representing humanitarian relief agencies around the world; you may then purchase $5.00 "shares" in as many as you would like, to give as gifts to friends and loved ones. With each share purchased, you will receive a Christmas card and a description of the relief project to give you as your alternative gift. In addition, World Crafts will also be selling fair trade items. World Crafts is an organization that supports artisans around the world through the fair marketing and selling of their products. Alternative gifts are a triple blessing for you, your loved one and the one who receives the help they need.

Come enjoy lunch and conversation at the marketplace. Soups, hot dogs and desserts will be available by donation, with proceeds benefiting local food banks and meal programs.

This year’s Alternative Gift Market will take place at St. James Episcopal Church, located at 201 N. Market Street.  Alternative Gift Market is a Wooster Interfaith initiative by the following: First Presbyterian Church, St. James Episcopal Church, Trinity United Church of Christ, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Wooster Mennonite Church.
