Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale

The Wooster Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale will be held July 11-13, at the “Book Cellar” in the basement of the Operations Center, 304 North Market Street, Wooster.

     Thursday’s and Friday’s sale begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.  Saturday’s sale runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Saturday is bag day—all the books you can fit into a paper grocery sack for $5.

     On Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m., the sale is open to members of the Friends of the Library, only. 

 The Summer Sale features thousands of donated books and books culled from the Wayne County Public Library, along with audio-visual items such as books on CD, DVDs, and music CDs. In addition, toys, games, and puzzles will be on sale for $1 each.

     Prices range from a quarter to $1.25 for adult books, and 25 cents to 50 cents for books for children and young adults. The shelves are packed with good-condition books ranging from adult fiction and nonfiction, to picture books and children’s and young adult fiction and nonfiction both in papercover and hardback. Highlighting the nonfiction are biography and cookbooks.  And there are plenty of nonfiction is every category.

Also available at a special price is the five volume set of The Encyclopedia of the American Civil War.

     Proceeds from the Summer Book sale will be used to benefit the Wayne County Public Library to better serve its patrons. Free parking will be available at the Zion Lutheran Church across the street.
