The Spring Used Book Sale will be held Friday, March 24, and Saturday, March 25, at “The Book Cellar,” located in the basement of the Operations Center of the Wayne County Public Library, at the corner of N. Market Street and Larwill Avenue, Wooster.  Friday’s sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday’s sale, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sponsored by the Wooster Friends of the Wayne County Public Library, the Spring Sale features thousands of donated books and books culled from the Wayne County Public Library, along with audio-visual items such as DVDs, CDs, and books on CD for children and adults.

Prices range from a quarter to $1.25 for adult books, and 25 cents to 50 cents for books for children and young adults. The shelves are packed with good books ranging from general fiction to sci-fi to mystery and romance, both in papercover and hardback. There is also a good selection of books in large print.   The sale includes a wide array of nonfiction books, especially in biography.

For youngsters and early readers, there are board books, picture books, readers, and chapter books.  The sale also includes juvenile fiction and non-fiction, including many science books for grade school kids, graphic novels and comic books, as well as young adult novels.  There is a collection of illustrated fairy tales, legends and myths from various cultures.

Proceeds from the Winter Book sale will be used to benefit the Wayne County Public Library to better serve its patrons. Free parking will be available at the Zion Lutheran Church across the street.

There will be no “bag day” for the Spring Book Sale.
