Speaker: Dr. Mari Halkovich of Wadsworth. Glitz & Glamour in The White House History, Jewelry and Fashion of the Ohio Presidential First Ladies. Power Point presentation with photos of each woman and photos of various pieces of jewelry from their personal collections. My research has taken me to the archived collections of Ohio's First Ladies, and I have been permitted to photograph their jewelry and accessories for this presentation. Pass-around display cases of antique jewelry, and accessories from my own collection. These items illustrate jewelry from the time period of each woman. I have display cases of hair combs, mourning jewelry, handkerchief pins, jewelry made of hair, cameos, coral jewelry, ect.
