Summer Book Sale Begins July 14
The Wooster Friends of the Library Summer Booksale is back!
The sale runs from July 14-16, at the “Book Cellar” located in the basement of the Operations Center of the Wayne County Public Library, at the corner of N. Market Street and Larwill Avenue, Wooster. Thursday’s and Friday’s sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday’s sale, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday evening is Member Preview Night.
The Summer Sale features thousands of donated books and books culled from the Wayne County Public Library, along with audio-visual items such as books on CD, DVDs, and music CDs. In addition, framed prints from the library’s collection and toys, games, and puzzles will be on sale.
Prices range from a quarter to $1.25 for adult books, and 25 cents to 50 cents for books for children and young adults. The shelves are packed with good-condition books ranging from adult fiction and nonfiction, to picture books and children’s and young adult fiction and nonfiction both in papercover and hardback. Nonfiction works include gardening, cook books, and how-to books, history, business, religion, and reference.
Proceeds from the Summer Book sale will be used to benefit the Wayne County Public Library to better serve its patrons. Free parking will be available at the Zion Lutheran Church across the street.
Saturday is “Bag Day,” all the books you can stuff in a paper grocery bag for only $5.
