Wayne County Historical Society Tours

The Wayne County Historical Society’s eight-building campus is open every Saturday, with tours at 1 and 2:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, free for those 18 and under. In addition to the permanent collection, special exhibits include a look at America's three-decade involvement in Vietnam; Wooster's remarkable Compton family; a celebration of the Seaman Corporation's 75th anniversary; the family history of Charles Follis, the first African American professional football player; and some of the earliest acquisitions and oddities from the historical society's textile collection.

 

The historical society is located at 546 E. Bowman St. in Wooster. The parking lot entrance is on Spink St. just north of Bowman. For more information call 330.264.8856.
