Women's Suffrage: A Local Perspective

Monday, June 22 - 6:00 PM

Deborah Kitko, genealogy librarian at the Wayne County Public Library, will offer insight into the effort to win the vote for women in Wayne County, at the library's main branch in downtown Wooster. The talk is free and open to the public.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, giving women the right to vote. The Wayne County Historical Society, Wayne County Public Library, and the League of Women Voters of Wayne County have joined forces to celebrate with a series of events and speakers from March through October.
