This event is open to people 18-35 years old who are serious about a career in law enforcement. Our goal is to showcase what our department has to offer and hopefully recruit a few good men and women to join the WPD family.
The event starts at 2:00 p.m. and goes until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 31st, 2019 at the Wooster Safety Center (3333 Burbank Road).
Be there at 2:00 p.m. sharp to hear a short presentation about our department and it's hiring process. At the conclusion of this presentation, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions and meet the command staff. You'll also be given full access to and the ability to learn from officers assigned to all of our specialized units like K9, detective division, Community Impact Unit (CIU), Special Response Team (SRT) and others.
We'll be giving tours of our state of the art new building and you'll get to see our officers conducting real time scenario based training demonstrations on our use of force simulator. It should be a great event so don't miss out!
